100% natural mineral-rich mud from ancient Siberian salt lake. Exceeds antioxidant level of Dead Sea muds up to 5 times - unique therapeutic and beauty product.
Natural Mud (low-sulphide silt) is derived from an ancient
salt lake in Western Siberia. Rapan Mud's closest relative is Dead
Sea mud. Rapan mud is widely used in spas and resorts all over Russia to treat skin conditions (dermatitis,
psoriasis, eczema, etc.), a wide variety of health conditions, and in the beauty
treatments - for skin rejuvenation, in body wraps for weight management, etc. It is rich in minerals as well as organic substances (anti-oxidants, vitamins,
hormones), which makes it a natural biostimulant and a very effective anti-ageing product.
Caution: due to its high activity, it should not be used by people with
heart conditions, high blood pressure, tumours or suspicious lumps, as well as any conditions where stimulation
should be avoided.
It is  the closest relative of Dead Sea muds, due to their close similarities in chemical structure and effects on the
body. The difference is that ithas a much higher content of fat-soluble antioxidants (retinoids, carotenoids) and other biologically-active
substances. Retinoids in particular have been a focus of scientific research in the UK recently regarding their effect
as far as skin rejuvenation is concerned. Retinoids have been proved to be the most effective out of a number of other
substances in rejuvenating the skin. Rapan muds
are unique n their structure and action due to the minerals which come from their saline base.
Generally, the strength of action of the Rapan range is classified in the following order: Rapan Blue Clay (mildest action) - Rapan® Yellow Clay (stronger)
- Rapan® Mud (strongest effect).
Rapan Mud is suitable for all skin types, although for sensitive skin types a patch test is recommended.
Although the products are hypo-allergenic, sensitive skin can react to many factors. Dilute it with water (50/50) for the first
few applications if you have very sensitive skin. For health treatments (e.g. baths, body wraps) the mud should be avoided by
people with heart conditions, high blood pressure, epilepsy, malignant tumours (it is a bio-stimulant). The temperature in a mud bath
should not be over 38 degrees C.
