Sodium chloride salts act on the body by forming a salt layer on the skin which stays there for several hours after a bath, acting as a stimulator
of nerve endings, micro-circulatory processes in the skin, and, through reflex action, of the body systems responsible for
processes of adaptation to non-typical external stimuli.
The penetration of the salt electrolytes into the outer skin layers (epydermis) changes the environment of the skin. This is accompanied by
changes in its reactivity and metabolism.
The other factor is the increase in body temperature due to the formation of a salt layer on the skin which prevents evaporation of water
from the skin. The rise in skin temperature in turn leads to dilation of capillaries in the skin, increase in circulation, increase
in consumtion of oxygen by the skin, and an increase in glandular activity. The increase in the blood flow to the skin is followed
by an increase in the volume of circulating blood (from the "blood depots"), increase in the blood flow to the heart which in turn stimulates
cardiac activity. This allows to "exercise" the heart muscle.
It has been proved through scientific research that sodium chloride baths are better than other salt baths for increasing the tone of the veins and
stimulating venous return. Such baths have been researched to decrease viscosity of the blood, micro-circulatory problems, increase in the capillary
network. This leads to the increase in the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin and body organs and removal of carbon dioxide
and metabolic waste.
Research has also shown an increase in lipid metabolism and regulation of metabolic rate under the influence of sodium chloride baths.
They help regulate the nervous system and its functions.
The fir needle concentrate is a natural powdered product with a powerful aroma of fir needles. It has expectorant properties, is an excellent disinfectant,
soothing for the stressed mind and aching body. It is also anti-inflammatory. It has sedative properties and is good for irritability, anxiety, poor sleep.
Like fir needle essential oil, it is rich in terpenes which are natural anti-bacterial and pain-relieving substances.
Coniferous concentrate is a bath product. It can be used to soothe muscle/joint
aches and pains, improve circulation, muscle cramps, relieve stress and its effects, to
maintain good skin condition, unwind and relax, promote good sleep, general health and
vitality.
It can also be used to cleanse capillaries, increase circulation to the skin and the body organs, reduce inflammation, detoxify the body.
It is excellent for stress relief. Soothing, with a majic aroma of fir needle oil.
Bath
Soak the body or in a bath for 15-20 minutes (37-38 degrees C). Use about 100-200g of the concentrate per bathful of water.
Foot bath
Use 50g of the concentrate in a tub for a foot bath. Water can be fairly hot. This treatment is great for colds. Remember
to cover yourself with a warm blanket in this case.
